Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of The Boreal Codex (sole proprietorship) (“The Boreal Codex”). By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be the age of majority in your province.

2. Buyers

Purchases are in Canadian dollars and subject to applicable taxes. Digital goods are licensed, not sold, under the licence tier shown at checkout. Physical goods are subject to the shipping and returns terms shown at purchase.

3. Artists & the revenue share

Artists retain ownership of their work and grant us a licence to display and sell it on the platform. Artists receive at least 70% of every sale; we retain up to 30% as a platform fee. Payouts are made to the payment details on file. Artists are responsible for the rights to everything they upload and for their own tax obligations.

4. Prohibited content

No infringing, unlawful, or misrepresented work (including art falsely presented as rights-clean). We may remove listings and suspend accounts that violate these terms.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Helcim. We do not store full card details. Refunds and disputes are handled per the policy shown at checkout and applicable law.

6. Liability

The platform is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the transaction giving rise to the claim. These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and your province of residence.
